This page explains in plain language what information may be collected when you use the website or submit an enquiry.
Who uses your data
The website is operated by Dan Bistran, owner of the GATA MÂINE project. The future company's details will be added as soon as registration is complete. For questions about your data, you can write to dan@gatamaine.ro.
Forms and direct contact
When you contact us, we use your name, phone number, email address and business information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you choose a package, manage the project. Your enquiry is saved in the website's secure database and may also be emailed to GATA MÂINE. If you provide an email address, you may receive an automatic confirmation.
Your GATA MÂINE account
If you create an account, we use your email address, name and project details for authentication and to display mini-demos, appointments and project progress. Your password is securely managed by the authentication provider and is not stored in the GATA MÂINE database. You can request account closure and deletion of data that we are not legally required to retain.
Offers and optional communications
Creating an account or requesting a mini-demo does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications. News, maintenance offers and customer benefits are sent only if you separately opt in. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Orders and payments
For packages requiring a deposit, we retain the information entered in the configurator, the selected package, the amount and the payment status. GATA MÂINE does not store card details; they are processed on the payment provider's secure page. The integration will become active only after the business account is connected.
Google Analytics and enquiry attribution
Analytics is loaded only if you choose ‘Accept analytics’. It helps us understand which pages are visited and which actions are completed, such as submitting an enquiry, creating an account or starting a payment. If you arrive through a consultant's link, the internal source code is stored locally and sent with your enquiry only after this consent, so the enquiry can be attributed correctly. We do not send your name, email address, phone number or form contents to Analytics. If you choose ‘Necessary only’, the Analytics tag is not loaded and the attribution code is not retained.
Necessary cookies
The website stores your analytics preference locally so that you are not asked to make the same choice on every page. For signed-in users, strictly necessary cookies are also used to maintain a secure session. These cookies are not used for advertising.
Demo bookings
Information entered into demo systems is used solely to test their functionality. Do not enter sensitive information into a demonstration concept.
How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are kept only for as long as necessary for discussions and quotes, then deleted or anonymised. Order and invoice data may be retained for the period required by accounting and legal obligations. The exact periods will be included in the final legal version before the public launch.
Your rights
You can request information, access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing, where these rights apply. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it. Send your request to dan@gatamaine.ro; we may request reasonable information to verify your identity.
Technical service providers
Hosting and database, email delivery, traffic analytics and payment processing providers may be used to operate the website. We activate only the necessary services and configure access according to its purpose.

Last updated: 28 August 2026. This policy will be supplemented with the company's legal and tax details as soon as registration is complete.
Applications and recruitment
When you apply for a sales representative role, we use your contact details, availability, experience and answers to sales-related questions solely for selection, assessments, interviews and onboarding. The application receives an initial score for prioritisation, but a person makes the decision to accept or reject it. You can request deletion of your application if there is no legal obligation to retain it.
Data requests
Signed-in users can submit requests for access, export, correction, deletion, restriction or withdrawal from marketing communications. Each request receives a status, deadline and resolution recorded in the system.
